Windows 7 Release Dates Confirmed

Microsoft Windows 7 is almost here with Microsoft stating the Windows 7 is on its way to manufacturing, and will be available on October 22 2009.

Anyone that is currently looking to purchase a new PC before this date will be covered by the Windows 7 upgrade scheme. Under the scheme, which is still being finalised, users who buy a computer with Windows Vista operating system will be entitled to a free* license upgrade to Windows 7.

Our in-house testing of Windows 7 has shown it consumes less hardware resources than Windows Vista. This means that in most cases, no hardware upgrades will be required for systems successfully running the current Windows Vista operating system.

Comcity Technology staffs have been running the new operating system for several months now. The overall opinion of staff running Windows 7 has been extremely positive. Customers who have held off on upgrading to Vista now have a solid upgrade path available to them.

* The free license upgrade covers the license only. Charges will apply for installation and supply of media.

Your Recent Survey Results

Thank you to all who recently participated in our Satisfaction Survey. Lots of extremely valuable feedback was received & we would like to take a moment to update you, our clients, on some of the changes we’re making as a result of your feedback.

Many people advised that they would like to receive more information about the completion of a job, including what was done & when. At the moment, a Weekly Summary Report is sent to nominated contacts within your organisation with details of works performed. This contact is not always the person for whom the job was conducted, so from the beginning of last month, we have started sending job completion e-mails to the person logging the job as well as other nominated contacts.

Comcity Technology also recently upgraded our internal Monitoring servers and software version. Over the coming two weeks the system changes will be completed. The upgrades will allow Comcity Technology to process more data and increase our reporting capabilities. Stay tuned for how these improvements will benefit you.
